Has anyone tried Stripeptin PE for under eye bags and does it work?
Q.
A. If you have under eye bags because you had a late night out, there are lots of remedies that can offer short-term help. (including Preparation-H) If you are getting older or just have the genetic tendency to acquire fat below you lower eyes, nothing is going to help except surgery. The doctor can pull your lids down and laser the fat away while you are awake. (You are on liquid Xanax.) The recovery period for me was painful, but I have never regretted having it done. I looked years younger and more refreshed within 10 days. It has been over 6 years, and the bags never came back.
I have panic attacks at weddings and i am a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding.. HELP!?
Q. I was a bridesmaid in april; I became very dizzy, had heart palpitations, could not breath, ect. After doing research I believe that I had a panic attack and I have had two more in public places since then (only 3 in almost 10 months) but i have a wedding coming up and need suggestions. Thanks
A. Oh honey, I know what you are going through. I've had panic problems all my life, but it's usually something specific that triggers them. In this case, for you, it could be a social anxiety issue. You probably have some form of a society anxiety disorder and being in front of everyone at the wedding (even if this isn't something that normally bothers you, crowds...it can suddenly developed for now reason, all though maybe believe there is something unsettled that happened to you in relation to your 'fears' - I don't agree with this in all situations.)
Anyway. I suggest you go to your trusted physician, tell them EXACTLY what your issue is. They might want to try you on some kind of long term, anti-aniexty/depression medicine (don't be against TRYING these...and they take up to 6 weeks before you are really able to judge how they can help, so wait before you judge them. You can always stop taking them, but do watch for side effects) and then they may also prescribe you something short term, like Xanax, Klonopin, or Ativan that you take when you feel an attack coming on, or when you know you will be into a stressful situation like the wedding. I think you will be fine, but this kind of problem will sometimes fester and get worse untreated. Go to your doctor now, tell a close friend or family member about your troubles...just having someone to talk to helps as well! If you need to talk to me, I can relate, really. And shit, I'm trying to PLAN a wedding right now! : ) easypeasy86@gmail.com
Also, clue your friend in on it. Hopefully she will understand, expect a little less of you, and maybe even help find some kind of suitable solution for you! Maybe you would rather not give a speech, but write her a letter about how you feel about your friendship...maybe you could be the last bridesmaid to walk so there is less attention on you for shorter amounts of time. (By the time you are out, if you are last...all eyes are looking for the bride.) Also, if you really think this could be a problem, she might understand and if you wanted to give up your position, she might understand! Just talk to her, be honest. You guys are obviously close...but just be sure to let her know that you are just as concerned about her feelings. She might have always pictured you next to her on her day....so she might still want to find a way to make this happen...but to suit you both!
Good luck and please e-mail if you need some questions answered or advice. I feel like a pro on this topic! I've been through so many surgeries and meds I have to take have cursed me with crazy anxiety. You really can do things to alleviate this problem though, so don't fret!

Going under the laser for Lasik... what is your opinion on the procedure?
Q. I am having Lasik surgery on my eyes tomorrow afternoon so I'm wondering what people think about the procedure. Would you do it knowing the risks of what may happen even though the risks are VERY minimal.
Also, if someone out there has had Lasik in the past I'd love to hear your opinions and or experiences before and after the surgery. Thanks for anyones help.
Also... I'm 26 years old and the doctor says I am a perfect candidate for Lasik.

A. I love it man....
My eyes were so bad I could not see the waves when surfing.
I would wear my contacts which would get washed out of my eyes, then again could not see the waves when surfing....
Anyway.....I hope your Physician ordered you something like Xanax or Valium pills that you can take 1 hr before your procedure or they might give you a little sedation through the I.V. right before the procedure. I's your eyes, so our reaction is to move away.....they wedge you pretty good so you don't move and keep you eyelids open. They put drops on your cornea that will numb everything......Tell yourself...you will be o.k.....
What does not work for patients when they freak out before. And the experience for them is not bad, they just make it bad.....Zone out, and kick back........
My first clear site, when I woke up in the Hotel room was Scooby Doo on cartoon channel. I was in the hotel room because I needed to fly to another Island in Hawaii to get this procedure done.
Good Luck...It will be cool.....

whatever happened to that woman who was attacked by that chimp?
Q. how is she doing?
A. Earlier this year Charla Nash was released from the Ohio hospital and headed home. She is a changed woman.
The Connecticut woman who lost her eyes, hands and much of her face to a crazed chimpanzee has left the Ohio hospital she called home for more than a year.
Blind and still disfigured beyond recognition, Charla Nash was discharged from the famed Cleveland Clinic Thursday night. She flew on a private plane to an undisclosed assisted-living center in Boston where she hopes to learn how to live independently, her family said.
"I take it day by day and just see how it goes. And I hope for the best," Nash said in an interview broadcast on NBC's "Today" show Friday. "There is something, some power that kept me alive."
Nash, 57, wears hats and scarves to cover much of her face, but looks considerably better than she did during her first unveiling on the "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in November.
She has a new cosmetic nose - but still breathes through her trachea - and has a more natural contour to her mouth thanks to more surgeries, her brother Stephen Nash told the Daily News.
Charla Nash can walk but has trouble climbing stairs. She still can't chew food, but she's starting to drink on her own with a straw, "Today's" Meredith Vieira said.
Stephen Nash told The News, "She's got quite a lot of determination. She was always a strong, independent person. She left home at 17 to be a cowgirl, racing in rodeos out west."
"We're hoping that at the end of the surgeries, her only deficiency will be that she's blind," he said. "She should be able to make her way through the world as well as any blind person."
But the family isn't in a rush, he said.
"Emotionally, she doesn't want to be alone right now," he said. "This was quite a shocking event, and she can't see, so her defenses are down. She doesn't want to feel vulnerable."
Charla's twin brother, Mike Nash, says his sister's greatest inspiration is her daughter Briana, who's going off to Quinnipiac University in the fall.
Charla Nash was visiting her pal Sandra Herold in Stamford, Conn., in February 2009 when Herold's 200-pound pet chimp, Travis, suddenly attacked her.
The berserk beast ripped off her hands, nose, lips and eyelids before cops arrived and shot it dead.
Nash, who says she doesn't remember being attacked, is suing Herold for $50 million. She's also suing Connecticut for $150 million, arguing that state officials failed to prevent the gruesome attack.
"Ms. Charla Nash has made great progress in her recovery," the Cleveland Clinic said in a statement. "Throughout her stay she has touched the lives of many of our employees."
Nash and her family are hopeful she will someday be a candidate for a hand and face transplant from a single donor.
"She still has some sensitive areas, but she doesn't need painkillers. She has a feeding tube, but it's not hurting all day long," Mike Nash said.
"She's not angry. She understands it was the animal's instinct to become the alpha. ... She can't change what happened. She wants to get fixed and healthy now and enjoy her life with her daughter. That's her driving force."
Toxicology tests showed the chimp had the anti-anxiety drug Xanax in his system.
