LASIK Surgery?

Q. I'm 18 and want 20/20 vision...As many people do...

That or something better then mine now...

I have many reasons for wanting to get this...

Rumor has it...That I should be 20...

Whats the best age...

How much would you say it is???

Things like that!!!

A. I think the minimum age is 18 - but it all depends on your eyes. They have to reach a certain developmental stage in order for the surgery to be performed. Have your eyes checked out and the doctor will be able to tell you if you are ready. I had mine done 7 years ago and I tell you, it was the absolute best thing I've ever done----I couldn't believe how much I had been missing, even with glasses. I cried when I woke from a nap and could read the words at the bottom of the tv screen. I would drive for hours because everything was so crisp and clear...and I could read the signs from so far away. I was so happy. I pretty much had coke bottle glasses and am now 20/25 vision. Even after 7 yrs, it's clear. If your eyes are ready, do it - you won't regret it! Make sure you thuroughly research your doctor/facility. Good luck :)
Also, my insurance covered my costs at the time - but the cost has dropped dramatically now, last I checked in Michigan it was about $500-$600 for both eyes. Check around.
