Is there an age requirement for getting Lasik Eye surgery in Georgia (US)? Can I get it at age 14?

I am pretty sure that LASIK, regardless of the state in which it is performed, is only for those patients at least 18 years of age or older. This is because your eyes are still changing...especially during your teenage years and puberty. One of the prerequisites is that you have had a stable for AT LEAST a year, or more. And when you are a teenager, your eyes are going through some of the biggest changes, which would make the surgery unsuccessful anyway. That's not to say that on your 18th birthday they will perform the surgery no questions asked. There is still a rigorous pre-testing procedure that they must put you through to make sure that you meet the other requirements for being a candidate...you could be 18 and still have an unstable prescription. When they do the work-up, you will be refracted by an Optometrist to see how your eyes have changed since your last exam. Generally, for MOST people, their eyes have stabilized by 18. For some people, it takes a little longer...
Sorry! Just tough it out for a few more years...by the time you are 18, they may even have a newer better procedure you can look into!!!
BTW - LASIK surgery is probably one of the safest procedures you can have. Of course, there are always side effects, but have you watched TV lately? The side effects from all of the medications on the market these days are more unsafe than the side effects from having LASIK done. For those who are literally almost handicapped without their glasses, LASIK offers patients a new lease on life. I've seen many, MANY happy success stories...so happy that they sent flowers and cookies to our office. They were thrilled with their results...

I know that in USA, you must be at least 18 to get LASIK surgery. What about different countries in Europe, is there any LASIK surgery that you can be less than 18?

general rule is
you must be at least 20'ish or something, where ur eye no longer change in shape/size anymore,
otherwise whats the point of doing it, if after surgery and ur eye grow/change again, which end up with prescriptions again.
