A. The cost of LASIK eye surgery may or may not include any of the following:
Royalties owed to laser manufacturers.
Purchase and maintenance of surgical and technical equipment.
Surgical gowns, gloves, masks, and other sterile and disposable materials.
Medications used before, during, and after surgery, including anesthesia, eye drops, and oral pain medications.
Rent for surgical and office facilities.
Surgical and office staff salaries.
Advertising fees.
Pre- and post-operative evaluations for up to one year after surgery.
Post-surgical enhancement, if needed.
Since many of these LASIK eye surgery price quotes are variable according to office location, the technology employed, and other factors specific to each surgeon, it is important for prospective patients to fully research what they are paying for when they have LASIK laser eye surgery. Be sure to ask surgeons to clearly outline what is and what is not included in their prices for LASIK before agreeing to any payment plans or methods.

Has anyone had bad outcomes & experiences from Lasik surgery?
Q. I'm having lasik surgery on both my eyes in 5 days. Thats how horrible my vision is. Of course i'm scared. I'm just scared that if something goes wrong, then the outcome can just rob whats left of my pitiful vision. Does anyone have anything bad to say about lasik?
A. Lasik eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.
Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

If I have lasik eye surgery and try to have a baby in a year will my child still have bad eyesight?
Q. Im planning on having lasik eye surgery because my eyes cant see far away very well. If I decide on having a child in about a year after the surgery will his/ her eye sight be as bad as mine was or will it be good. If this helps my husband has decent eyesight ( doesnt wear glasses).
A. The eyesight trait and be inhearted from either the mother or father, that is just randomly based on genes and probability, however. Getting your eyesight fixed with lasik WILL NOT change the genes in your DNA that would give your child bad eyesight. Again, it is random but your child does still have a chance of getting bad eyesight from you.
What is the maximum nearsightedness degree one can have to qualify for LASIK surgery?
Q. I heard that Tiger Woods got successful LASIK surgery and he was -11 nearsightedness. My eyes are pretty bad and I need some info on this. Thanks.
A. It depends on each individual, most importantly the thickness of your cornea. LASIK works by ablating, or destroying, some of the inner layer of your cornea. By doing so, it effectively flattens the cornea and corrects your vision. The higher the prescription the more tissue needs to be ablated. So if you have a really high prescription and a thin cornea, LASIK would not be an option. There are a few other procedures that may be an option if LASIK isn't. Go see your eye doctor and get more information.
