Who's had Laser Surgery within 200 miles of Duluth, MN? I need recommendations or advice against bad places.
Q. I live an hour South of Duluth, MN, and I want to get laser eye surgery for near-sightedness. I'm scared as hell and I don't personally know anyone I can ask who's had it done around here. Please tell me if you've had it done, what it's like, and where you recommend within 200 miles in any direction of Duluth, including the name of the doctor. You guys rock, thanks! :D
LASIK, LASER EYE SURGERY, ETC.
LASIK, LASER EYE SURGERY, ETC.
A. Go to Mayo clinic in Rochester. I don't know if that is with-in 200 miles from you but, It is the best place to go.
My son had eye surgery done there. By a Dr. Hardwig.
he does mostly cataract surgeries but also did laser stuff on my son.
You can also google doctors in your area that do this type of surgery.
The laser stuff does not take more than a couple of minute's
and my son didn't feel a thing.

A. If the surgery will be to treat a pre-existing condition, you may have trouble finding a company that will pay for it. It really depends on Obamacare at this point.

A. If the eye that isn't straight is pointed in towards the nose, it's called esotropia:

If one eye is drifted out towards the ear, it's called exotropia:

Is Lasyk Eye Surgery Really that great?
Q. Okay so I have worn glasses since I was 8. I tried a short stint with contacts, but alas due to allergies and the fact that they may cause me to have migranes I had to stop wereing them.
My questions are simply this: is lasyk very risky, and is it worth the cost because I've heard it can be up to 4,000$ (for both eyes) and in some cases you have to go back for more so they can fine tune it.
My eyes have always been very bad, but now I'm to the point that I don't really want to be the lady with coke bottle glasses when I'm 30, and I fear that is were I'm headed if I don't do something to help my sight.

A. Yes, Lasik is definitely worth the cost! I had the surgery done just over a year ago. The deciding factor for me was when I developed a condition known as chronic dry eye. I tried several different brands of contacts recommended by my optimistic before going in for the surgery. If you are considering having it done I would suggest that you check out www.Lasikplus.com They have locations all over the us (I went to the Edina, MN location for my surgery.) Not only did they do an awesome job but the corrections are warranted for life. As long as you have an annual routine eye exam if your doctor finds that your vision has deteriorated below 20/20 you can contact Lasikplus and schedule a FREE appointment for an 'enhancement' as they call it. My vision is now somewhere between 15/20 and 17/20 which is better than average. Hope that helps and good luck:)
