Just looking for some accurate prices for this surgery...i have heard everything from 299 to 2000...so does anyone know of the prices in Michigan

With Lasik surgery, you truly want a physician who will spend "face to face" time with you. That means the actual surgeon, not just a technical assistant or surgical coordinator. If you meet with the surgeon for only 4 minutes, how thorough do you really know them, and (maybe more importantly) how thoroughly can they possibly know you?
You are investing money and trust in your surgeon, and you should expect a standard of care above and beyond a cursory consultation.
Complications can occur with ANY type of surgery...What is important is this: Do you fully understand the potential complications and your personal risk profile (albeit quite small in most cases) and have you been properly educated in this regard?
Has your surgeon patiently addressed all of your questions and concerns?
If a complication occurs, will you be able to contact your surgeon personally or will you be filtered through a system of technicians, office personnel, etc.?
A confident and reliable surgeon will openly and PERSONALLY discuss the surgical procedure, risks, expected postoperative course, and reasonable expectations of visual outcomes BEFORE asking you to sign a consent form.
YOU DESERVE THIS LEVEL OF ATTENTION AND RESPECT AND SHOULD SETTLE FOR NOTHING LESS.
