I am going to have Lasik surgery at 47. Do I under correct for Mono eye?

I have -3.0 in one eye and -2.0 in the other. I have one doctor that prescribes -1.75 for both eyes, and another that says -1.50 in near sight eye and -2.0 in the other. What are the statistics? I am definatly a canidate since I was virtually born with mono eye.
