Is Zyoptix the same as lasik eye surgery ? Its not very clear, I read on http://www.zyoptixlaser.com/zyoptix-lasik.html that zyoptix is in fact lasik, but they compare it as if its different ... whats good for eye laser ?

Zyoptix is not the same as Lasik, but it is in the same ballpark.
I work with a nonprofit Lasik patient advocacy organization. We don't provide Lasik, just Lasik information and we evaluate Lasik doctors' patient outcomes.
Lasik is a two-step process to reshape the cornea (clear front of the eye) to reduce the need for glasses or contact lenses. The first step is creating a thin layer of corneal flap and moving it aside, the second step is applying excimer laser energy to the cornea to remove tissue.
There are several excimer laser manufacturers, including Bausch & Lomb who calls their laser system Zyoptix. Zyoptix is not Lasik, but is the name of a laser used for Lasik.

my neighbor's husband eye bubbled up after cataract surgery on their way home.
they were told it happened due to having a change in the altitude.
she said it was very scary for her, and very painful for him, of course.
