Is it possible to reverse bad eyesight?

I used to have very good vision, but that has changed I am now nearsighted. Ever since I started playing video games a lot my vision has deteriorated and I want to know if it can be reversed or at least stopped from getting worse.
I also read that nearsightedness is hereditary, is it true and would it stop from getting worse if I stop playing Call of Duty so much? Would eating carrots and spinach help?

There is some evidence that the condition of you're eyesight is due to heredity. This is because your eyesight is determined by the shape of your eye and just like your other features, the shape of the eye is due to heredity. Playing video games, sitting too close to the tv, not having enough light while reading does Not affect your eyesight. These things may cause eye strain but will not affect your sight. Eating a well balanced diet will help the Health of the eye but will not affect your eyesight. There is no way to get better eyesight naturally, it would take surgery to change the shape of the eye and that is what LASIK does.

i had PRK before it was called Lasik Surgery, and it is regressing to the point where I use glasses when I drive at night and when I play night softball as well - i'm a pitcher. I even had to wear glasses to pass my Driver's License Test last time.

First of all PRK is not LASIK. They are two separate procedures. I had LASIK in 1998. I have had a little regression like you have where I have to wear glasses to drive at night or watch a ball game. I can however still read at age 52 without glasses. As a professional who spends much of my day reading and writing, I will gladly wear glasses for a few tasks in my leisure time if it means being glasses free during my working hours.
