Is Lasyk Eye Surgery Really that great?

Okay so I have worn glasses since I was 8. I tried a short stint with contacts, but alas due to allergies and the fact that they may cause me to have migranes I had to stop wereing them.

My questions are simply this: is lasyk very risky, and is it worth the cost because I've heard it can be up to 4,000$ (for both eyes) and in some cases you have to go back for more so they can fine tune it.

My eyes have always been very bad, but now I'm to the point that I don't really want to be the lady with coke bottle glasses when I'm 30, and I fear that is were I'm headed if I don't do something to help my sight.

Yes, Lasik is definitely worth the cost! I had the surgery done just over a year ago. The deciding factor for me was when I developed a condition known as chronic dry eye. I tried several different brands of contacts recommended by my optimistic before going in for the surgery.
