How do I get the best deal on Lasik Eye Surgery?

In about 3 months, I plan on having Lasik and I am seeing MASSIVE price difference between eye doctors. Some in larger cities offering massive discounts. I do not want to pay more than I have too, but I do not want someone with a 3rd grade education cutting on my eyes. What should I know in Picking a doctor and getting the best deal? BTW I can drive to Dallas TX, Little Rock AR, Memphis TN, Shreveport LA, Monroe LA, Jackson MS, Even New Orleans/Baton Rouge if the price/service is right.

Try asking for statistics on the rate of success for people of your age with your perscription by the surgeon involved. You really need to understand teh statistics to pick a good surgeon.

Someone can have a fantastic education and still be a lousy surgeon or not have any experience for example.

Make sure you have researched the risks are are prepared to live with teh worst possible consequences. Even the best surgeon does not have a 100% success rate and all surgery has risks.
