How risky eye surgery is?

Jack

I am planning of getting a job that requires perfect vision (now I am 15 years old, my vision is around 20/60) . So option is to get eye surgery when I will be 19-22 years old. But I want to know the risks of such a surgery.
Thanks!

Answer
Lasik is dangerous. They remove tissue and then shoot a laser to your cornea which has UV light. Even if you see after the surgery, Your vision can get worse as you get older. Some people have a bad procedure and their eyes are destroyed. Here is a link to a website that warns of how the Lasik industry is hiding long term risks.

Your vision is 20/60 like mine was. If you tried to do eye exercises you could improve eyesight. Try to google the bates method. Or eye exercises. Google palming eye exercise and palm for a couple of minutes each day or as long as you want. I was able to improve my eyesight and get an unrestricted driver's liscence which means I can legally drive without glasses. Try to reduce the amount of time you wear your glasses and only wear them when needed. You could also wear a weaker prescription and adjust to needing less prescription. Wear your old glasses if you know what I mean.

Answer
Grass is always greener on the other side. I hated my dark eyes too...until they started getting lighter and lighter. I was born with black-brown eyes and they became dark brown after college. A few years ago they became brown, and now my own Mother calls them Hazel!! There ARE ways to change your eye color without colored contacts. The NewIris surgery in Panama is one way..Dr. Khan puts a colored lens implant over your iris. It's painless and is easily taken out if you change your mind...otherwise, it's forever. Cons: the colors are transluscent so your eye color mixes with the color of the lens..i.e. blue is NOT bright beautiful light blue, but rather a medium grayish-blue. The pupil hole is constant..this can cause tunnel vision. The long-term effects are not known. The implant has no iris pattern..so it doesn't really look right. It's also $7,500USD and NOT fda approved. The one I'm waiting for is called Lumineyes by HomerLabs. It's a laser procedure, no cutting necessary, that will destroy the iris melanocytes therefore lightening your eye color. They are redoing animal testing, it's been very successful, and believe it or not, I got myself on the human testing list. Hope I get chosen! I know that this procedure once it's offered to the public is going to be extremely expensive. Much more than NewIris because more skill and equipment is involved. Alright...the cheaper ways of lightening your eye color: Herbal eyedrops. There are sellers on the web who make these drops. They lighten your eye color very very slowly. But they do work! The real ones will not be over $150USD. The scammers charge from $500-thousands of dollars. Another idea: eye color change hypnosis cd/mp3. If people with multiple personalities can change their eye color when they change personalities,(it's been documented many times by doctors), then obviously the human mind is powerful enough to control the color of the irises at will. I am doing the drops, and mp3, and taking large amounts of glutathione+vitaminC+MSM pills(these lighten the skin color and can even lighten hair color-both of mine has lightened a LOT..I'm taking so much to see if my eye color can get lightened by them) I have been losing the "warm tones" in my eye color this month. Under certain lighting, my eyes look green. But most of the time they look like a cool light brown with a blue limbal ring around it. That's with a flashlight shining in my eyes. Otherwise, it's not that light. P.S. the eyedrops basically have herbs that lighten skin and hair color, i.e., chamomile, bearberry, etc in case you're wondering. You could make your own if you know how to be VERY careful and VERY sterile. If none of these are for you, then you can't go wrong with this last one: do a colon/liver cleanse and eat raw foods, or at least just eat healthy natural foods and keep meat out of the diet most of the time..many people say once they do these things, their eye color either gets noticibly lighter or brighter. Look up Iridology. A great herb to take to brighten your eyes is called Eyebright. Not expensive at all. About $4.99 for 60-90 pills.Take 1-3 per day and you will see a brightness and clearness to your eyes, not just the color, even the scelera-the white part-will be whiter. This happened to me in 1-2 days, but it might take others 4-7 days. You are not the only one who doesn't like their eye color...google this stuff I wrote to you about...thousands and thousands of people feel the same way and are looking for answers. Good Luck! : )
