If you do Laser Eye Surgery when you're 25, do your eyes become worse once you past 50 years old?

Tiffany
I'm planning to do laser eye surgery sometime this year. Right now my eyesight level is at 350, and I had worn glasses and contacts for about 12 years. I just wanted to know that if you did laser eye surgery when you're young, does your eyes become worse when you become very old? Maybe even become blind?
[And let's say the surgery was 100% success and you can see 20/20, and there were no further complications with your eyes] Will this laser eye surgery make your eyes worse [like make my eye level 500] once you past 50 years old?
And please don't tell me if you are going to guess or assume. I would greatly appreciate some evidence or experience. Thank you!
Answer
what for also you need regular check ups as you would with your teeth and that is the the only way to go i never had laser but when i hit the mid 50th i had it twice and my eye sight is not getting better as i had two needle treatment in the same eye and i have not regained anything but am in remission maculardegeneration get due to age and stress

Laser eye surgery on lazy eye?

Lauren
Is it possible to get? How old do I need to be to get it? and can you get it even if you past a 2.20?
Answer
You will not be able to have laser surgery for lazy eye if that is what you are asking. Laser surgery does not work to correct a lazy eye.
If you are asking if you can get laser surgery to fix your myopia although you have a lazy eye, then, although your doctor may want a second opinion of someone specializing in lazy eye, the answer may be yes. I had surgery for retinal detachment, and although my surgeon asked for a second opinion that it was okay, the second doctor approved it and said that in a sense, my fixed eye might be stronger that normal eyes.
Are you asking by, "if you past a 2.20'" that your myopia prescription is higher than minus 2.50, then yes. If fact, getting laser surgery on anything less than that is probably not a good idea. Even -2.50 is not very high as far as myopia goes. As far as age is concerned, most ophthalmic surgeons will want to be sure you have stopped growing; for most people that is over 22 years of age.
