I'm 20 years old and my eyesight is really bad (probably from all the years of video games, tv, and surfing the internet). I've decided to limit my time spent on these activities, but what I want to know is if there's a way to improve your eyesight without the use of glasses or contacts?
Also, I've heard from someone that people with astigmatism can't get that eye restoration surgery. Is that true? Not that I can afford it right now anyway, I just want to know my options later on.

Lasik works well for people with astigmatism.
Lasik is relatively a very safe procedure which has been performed for nearly a decade. The technology has advanced so much that its now possible to predict the outcome even before laser is done. The pre op Diagnostic Procedures are called as orbscan and abberometry.
Lasik procedure takes just 10 mins for both the eyes and you can resume normal activities within 24 hrs.
The only disadvantage is the cost of the procedure , but this can be over come when u have the procedure done in countries like India which have very good laser centers and Ophthalmologists.
