Has anyone tried Stripeptin PE for under eye bags and does it work?

Q.

A. If you have under eye bags because you had a late night out, there are lots of remedies that can offer short-term help. (including Preparation-H) If you are getting older or just have the genetic tendency to acquire fat below you lower eyes, nothing is going to help except surgery. The doctor can pull your lids down and laser the fat away while you are awake. (You are on liquid Xanax.) The recovery period for me was painful, but I have never regretted having it done. I looked years younger and more refreshed within 10 days. It has been over 6 years, and the bags never came back.

I have panic attacks at weddings and i am a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding.. HELP!?
Q. I was a bridesmaid in april; I became very dizzy, had heart palpitations, could not breath, ect. After doing research I believe that I had a panic attack and I have had two more in public places since then (only 3 in almost 10 months) but i have a wedding coming up and need suggestions. Thanks

A. Oh honey, I know what you are going through. I've had panic problems all my life, but it's usually something specific that triggers them. In this case, for you, it could be a social anxiety issue. You probably have some form of a society anxiety disorder and being in front of everyone at the wedding (even if this isn't something that normally bothers you, crowds...it can suddenly developed for now reason, all though maybe believe there is something unsettled that happened to you in relation to your 'fears' - I don't agree with this in all situations.)

Anyway. I suggest you go to your trusted physician, tell them EXACTLY what your issue is. They might want to try you on some kind of long term, anti-aniexty/depression medicine (don't be against TRYING these...and they take up to 6 weeks before you are really able to judge how they can help, so wait before you judge them. You can always stop taking them, but do watch for side effects) and then they may also prescribe you something short term, like Xanax, Klonopin, or Ativan that you take when you feel an attack coming on, or when you know you will be into a stressful situation like the wedding. I think you will be fine, but this kind of problem will sometimes fester and get worse untreated. Go to your doctor now, tell a close friend or family member about your troubles...just having someone to talk to helps as well! If you need to talk to me, I can relate, really. And shit, I'm trying to PLAN a wedding right now! : ) easypeasy86@gmail.com

Also, clue your friend in on it. Hopefully she will understand, expect a little less of you, and maybe even help find some kind of suitable solution for you! Maybe you would rather not give a speech, but write her a letter about how you feel about your friendship...maybe you could be the last bridesmaid to walk so there is less attention on you for shorter amounts of time. (By the time you are out, if you are last...all eyes are looking for the bride.) Also, if you really think this could be a problem, she might understand and if you wanted to give up your position, she might understand! Just talk to her, be honest. You guys are obviously close...but just be sure to let her know that you are just as concerned about her feelings. She might have always pictured you next to her on her day....so she might still want to find a way to make this happen...but to suit you both!

Good luck and please e-mail if you need some questions answered or advice. I feel like a pro on this topic! I've been through so many surgeries and meds I have to take have cursed me with crazy anxiety. You really can do things to alleviate this problem though, so don't fret!

Going under the laser for Lasik... what is your opinion on the procedure?
Q. I am having Lasik surgery on my eyes tomorrow afternoon so I'm wondering what people think about the procedure. Would you do it knowing the risks of what may happen even though the risks are VERY minimal.

Also, if someone out there has had Lasik in the past I'd love to hear your opinions and or experiences before and after the surgery. Thanks for anyones help.
Also... I'm 26 years old and the doctor says I am a perfect candidate for Lasik.

A. I love it man....
My eyes were so bad I could not see the waves when surfing.
I would wear my contacts which would get washed out of my eyes, then again could not see the waves when surfing....
Anyway.....I hope your Physician ordered you something like Xanax or Valium pills that you can take 1 hr before your procedure or they might give you a little sedation through the I.V. right before the procedure. I's your eyes, so our reaction is to move away.....they wedge you pretty good so you don't move and keep you eyelids open. They put drops on your cornea that will numb everything......Tell yourself...you will be o.k.....
What does not work for patients when they freak out before. And the experience for them is not bad, they just make it bad.....Zone out, and kick back........
My first clear site, when I woke up in the Hotel room was Scooby Doo on cartoon channel. I was in the hotel room because I needed to fly to another Island in Hawaii to get this procedure done.

Good Luck...It will be cool.....

whatever happened to that woman who was attacked by that chimp?
Q. how is she doing?

A. Earlier this year Charla Nash was released from the Ohio hospital and headed home. She is a changed woman.

The Connecticut woman who lost her eyes, hands and much of her face to a crazed chimpanzee has left the Ohio hospital she called home for more than a year.

Blind and still disfigured beyond recognition, Charla Nash was discharged from the famed Cleveland Clinic Thursday night. She flew on a private plane to an undisclosed assisted-living center in Boston where she hopes to learn how to live independently, her family said.

"I take it day by day and just see how it goes. And I hope for the best," Nash said in an interview broadcast on NBC's "Today" show Friday. "There is something, some power that kept me alive."

Nash, 57, wears hats and scarves to cover much of her face, but looks considerably better than she did during her first unveiling on the "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in November.

She has a new cosmetic nose - but still breathes through her trachea - and has a more natural contour to her mouth thanks to more surgeries, her brother Stephen Nash told the Daily News.

Charla Nash can walk but has trouble climbing stairs. She still can't chew food, but she's starting to drink on her own with a straw, "Today's" Meredith Vieira said.

Stephen Nash told The News, "She's got quite a lot of determination. She was always a strong, independent person. She left home at 17 to be a cowgirl, racing in rodeos out west."

"We're hoping that at the end of the surgeries, her only deficiency will be that she's blind," he said. "She should be able to make her way through the world as well as any blind person."

But the family isn't in a rush, he said.

"Emotionally, she doesn't want to be alone right now," he said. "This was quite a shocking event, and she can't see, so her defenses are down. She doesn't want to feel vulnerable."

Charla's twin brother, Mike Nash, says his sister's greatest inspiration is her daughter Briana, who's going off to Quinnipiac University in the fall.

Charla Nash was visiting her pal Sandra Herold in Stamford, Conn., in February 2009 when Herold's 200-pound pet chimp, Travis, suddenly attacked her.

The berserk beast ripped off her hands, nose, lips and eyelids before cops arrived and shot it dead.

Nash, who says she doesn't remember being attacked, is suing Herold for $50 million. She's also suing Connecticut for $150 million, arguing that state officials failed to prevent the gruesome attack.

"Ms. Charla Nash has made great progress in her recovery," the Cleveland Clinic said in a statement. "Throughout her stay she has touched the lives of many of our employees."

Nash and her family are hopeful she will someday be a candidate for a hand and face transplant from a single donor.

"She still has some sensitive areas, but she doesn't need painkillers. She has a feeding tube, but it's not hurting all day long," Mike Nash said.

"She's not angry. She understands it was the animal's instinct to become the alpha. ... She can't change what happened. She wants to get fixed and healthy now and enjoy her life with her daughter. That's her driving force."

Toxicology tests showed the chimp had the anti-anxiety drug Xanax in his system.

How effective is Valium for putting one to sleep?

Q. It's a 5mg pill. I'm a 120lb female. I normally take clonazepam. But I'm all out, and my bf has an extra Valium left over from after an eye surgery a few months ago.

I need it to sleep. Will it actually make me drowsy, like the clonazepam, or is it just calming?

A. Valium is very good for anxiety and will relax you much the same as xanax. Yes it will help you sleep if you take one about half hour before going to bed. Personally I take a xanax several times a week with a couple shots of peach schnapps. The alcohol enhances the effects of the xanax and would do the same with valium but you're not supposed to drink alcohol with these drugs. One night I drank 7 screwdrivers with a valium and got thrown out of a bar. Messed me up. >:)

How many illegal drugs are prescribed as medicine by doctors?
Q. As far as I know, only one. Which of course is cannabis, but I was wondering if there are any others.

A. Peter hit most of the highlights. I'll add that cocaine is used by opthamologists as an anesthetic agent during eye surgery.

Anything that is a "scheduled drug," which means that it is not just prescription, but actually closely regulated by the DEA (drug enforcement administration), is illegal if used without a prescription. It's also illegal to prescribe it for recreational use or sale. This covers a wide variety of medications including morphine, hydromorphone, fentanyl, oxycodone, propoxyfene, meperidine, Ritalin, amphetamines, benzodiazipenes (valium, ativan, xanax etc), and barbiturates.

How can Cocaine be prescribed with a written prescription from a licensed physician or nurse practitioner?
Q. Schedule I - LSD, MDMA, Marihuana, DMT, Peyote, Psilocybin, Mescaline, Heroin.
The drug or other substance has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.
**Schedule I drugs may not be prescribed.

Schedule II - Cocaine, Hydrocodone, Morphine, Opium, Amphetamine, PCP
The drug or other substance has a currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States or a currently accepted medical use with severe restrictions.
**Schedule II drugs may be prescribed with a written prescription from a licensed physician or nurse practitioner.

Schedule III Examples : Anabolic Steroids, Marinol (Synthetic THC), Ketamine, LSA
Schedule III drugs may be prescribed by a licensed physician or nurse practitioner.

Schedule IV - Examples : Valium, Xanax, Librium, Rohypnol, Klonopin
Schedule IV drugs may be prescribed by a licensed physician or nurse practitioner.

Schedule V -
How does one go about obtaining a Script for Cocaine? What would the case be that one must plea? And why is Cocaine (shII) possession punishment heaver then Marijuana(shI) possession ?

A. You can not get a prescription for it.
cocaine is formally used in medicine as a topical anesthetic, specifically in eye, nose and throat surgery

Why are people hating marijuana legalization?
Q. In my state of Massachusetts, Medical Marijuana was voted to be legal as a pain medication for the terminally ill.
But the next day, a radio talk show was on and the host talked about people getting high, rather that people using marijuana being used as a pain medication.

A. The propaganda has them brain washed.

Yes, medical mariuana does produce a high, but not nearly as much as morphine or oxy.

Yes, Places like Israel and even the US, have "highless" marijuana pills. In the US, it is called marinol. It is a synthetic off shoot of marijuana, so it is not even synthetic delta 9 thc, it is something else. It DOES produce a high, its just a little bit different. And it costs $1500 a month, which is the largest reason why people reject it.

Why does no one ask these questions of oxycontin? There is so much of it on the street it has been nicknamed hillbilly heroine, and is FAR more dangerous when (not if) it is abused. Or morphine? Or the medical grade speed we give to children called ritalin and adderall, most of which are selling it to their classmates at school??

Yeah, there are people out there taking medical marijuana just to get high. But I am far more worried about all the other legal and socially acceptable "medications" people are using just to get high than I every will be about marijuana.

I do not view it is an all or nothing situation. But marijuana can give a balance of pain relief while still maintaining coherence, where as morphine left me in a pleasure coma all day long, unable to talk to my friends or family. So, maybe in some respects it is an all or nothing situation, but not in the terms that poster was speaking of. I either have it all - pain relief and the ability to maintain some thing that looks like a life, or I take morphine and oxycontin and end up chemically addicted and "living" my life in a pleasure coma all day long....

I would respect those kinds of opinions if they also said the same things about xanax, vicodin, ativan, morphine, oxycontin and the plethora of other narcotics doctors hand out. But they dont. Why is it ok to get a high from a chemically addictive and patented medication that is making pharmaceutical companies rich, but not ok to get a high from a medication that is not chemically addictive, but also puts very little money into the pockets of pharmaceutical companies????

Oh, wait, I forgot, that argument means you have to actually admit to yourself that when you broke your leg or had your surgery or whatever it was you did, the vicodin the doctor gave you did in fact, make you high, even just a little bit. You have to actually admit to yourself that morphine does not kill pain, it only makes you high enough that you do not care that you are in pain - and there is PLENTY of scientific evidence out there to back that claim up, so its not just me. You would actually have to admit that your children are trading around their prescriptions at school instead of turning a blind eye claiming that teachers would never allow that to happen or its only the "bad" kids who do that.
