How much does corrective laser eye surgery cost in South Korea?

Q. I hate contacts because they itch and make my eyes so dry, and I hate fooling around with eye moisturizer. I live in South Korea now. How much will it cost there?

A. Overall traditional lasik procedures still cost roughly $1,000 to $3000 to complete. If you pay less than $1,000 per eye treated, you may want to question your surgeon and verify his or her credentials. You should also see if there are hidden fees you are not aware of you may have to pay for later. When it comes to your eyes, a first and then a second opinion is best. Don't choose your surgeon on cost alone.Hope this would help you. :)

Is it really natural to have plastic surgery in Korea?
Q. I've heard a lot about it especially actresses/actors who had plastic surgery to look more beautiful or to attract more fans. Like for example my dad's friend had one because its necessary after his car accident; that situation I would have plastic surgery, but im still against it if it can be avoided.

A. it's not "natural" but it's common. All my friends had something done at some point and small non invasive surgery called "Beauty" intervention and not "Cosmetic surgery" are really really common. Like botox, fat injection, laser etc..

A lot of regular (and already cute) people come to our hospital for regular surgery as well, you don't have to be an actor for that. Thus, it's really not expensive and you can have access to a wide variety of clinics in Korea. Major surgery (like nose + V-line + X-line) are less common. Sometimes people just wanna correct something that looks a bit weird on their face, like a bumpy nose, or sometimes they need it like your dad's friends because it is reconstructive plastic surgery, sometimes it's just small things like double eye lid, or just laser, botox.

And when I mean small things, it's so easy to get it done here, a double eye lid is done in less than one hour, and you go back 2 hours later.

Understand that people are not changing their face dramatically most of the time they are just adjusting something that bug or went wrong, sometimes it makes them feel better, sometimes they don't care but their job (like actors, actresses) requires to have a perfect body.

Not everyone undergo surgery but it's getting more common to have small things fixed :)

Is Yanhee a good place for plastic surgery?
Q. I'm seriously thinking about going to Yanhee, because it is so cheap compared to the US doctors.

Although, one of my Thai friends said that while some people end up with good results, there are also many people who get plastic surgery at Yanhee and don't look very natural, so they get surgery in Korea for a more natural result. Is this true? Does Yanhee have a lot of botched surgeries?

A. "because it is so cheap compared to the US doctors...."

======

Sometimes the cheap comes expensive!

All doctors screw up every now and then. If you are from a wealthier country full of hungry lawyers you can always sue for big money! When one of the cheap operations in Bangkok is botched you get to live with the results!

Maybe it depends on what you are having the operation for. I think doctors in Korea probably have similar failure rates as Thailand. Maybe they do more eye work and Bangkok does more boob jobs, especially when you consider ladyboys.

Why do many Japanese people have naturally big eyes?
Q. I asked a few japanese friends if japanese people get the double eyelid surgery like koreans and they say they don't. Is this true?

A. Japanese and Korean is the same races but
They have vastly different backgrounds.

Ethnic
Korean:mainly north Mongolian
Japanese: mixed north Mongolian and south Mongolian.

(North mongolian has slight eyes to protect
thier eyes from snowstorm. and ample face to retain body warmth
from snow,Korean and Japanese and Chinese has this features,
South mongolian is east south asian like Indonesian and Filipino, and some Japanese and Chinese )

There is few natural big eyes in Korea( because they are mainly north mongolian)
then .cosmetic surgery driving the boom,
Korean president and his wife also did cosmetic surgery in thier eyes, they regards it positive.

On the other hands Japanese and Chinese is mixed north and south mongolian,
someone has big eyes, someone has slight eyes in Japan and Chinaa few Japanese who has strongly north mongoian features eyes do cosmetic surgery but it regards negative,

Culture
Korea: parents give cosmetic surgery cost for thier kids as selebrate person of ripe years
Japan : parents give traditonal Kimono for thier kids as celebrate person of ripe years,

Attitude of Man
Both girl have interested in cosmetic and Beauty,
Japanese man have still conservative against cosmetic surgery, but positive against various make-up.
Korean man is positive against brush up attractive appearance by cosmetic surgery
but they don't like heavy make-up,Korean boy hope natural make-up,to girl.

I might be a bit generalized but in my opinion,
I feel the attitude against cosmetic surgery is differ from
Japan and Korea^^;.

Korea: Majority is positive
They accept cosmetic suegery as career success
Japan:Majority is negative because
They feel the risk than natural face people, and
it regards artificial-looking of complacency
